Texas REALTORS® supports and encourages the process of continuous learning to help employees meet their career goals and maximize the collective skill set of the organization. That's why in 2019, we announced the Texas REALTORS® Staff Development Grant Program which provides staff members the opportunity to apply for and be reimbursed up to $1,000 per year for qualifying professional development activities of their own choosing. This allows for individual employees to determine the skill sets they’d most like to enhance.
The rules are pretty simple: essentially, if there is an educational or skills development opportunity that you are interested in and it is mutually beneficial to you and the organization, apply for funds to help you cover the cost. Reimbursement only occurs after a course or activity has been successfully completed. Of course, there are specific guidelines and restrictions governing the program. Be sure to familiarize yourself with the program policies before applying for funds.
The program is open to non-director level positions and is active and ready to consider pre-approval of opportunities in 2020.
