Please join us in giving a warm welcome to Debbie Mayer, who joined Texas REALTORS® on Tuesday, May 27, 2025, as Executive Assistant to the CEO in the Executive Department. Debbie brings strong organizational skills and a wealth of experience supporting senior leadership, and we’re excited to have her on board as she helps support the mission and work of Texas REALTORS®. Welcome, Debbie! Please take a moment to get to know Debbie a little better through a few fun facts she shared with us!
I’m from Chicago, and yes, I miss Chicago pizza A LOT.
My husband, Carl, and I moved to Texas in 2020 and absolutely love it here!
We have 2 fur babies—a 17-year-old girl named Stella and a 14-year-old boy named Bruno—that moved with us. They’ve adjusted well to the new climate, and I’m sure they don’t miss our annual “let’s throw the cats in the first heavy snowfall of the year.”
We also have one daughter, Christina, and two grandkids—a granddaughter named Natalie and a grandson named Nathan. They live in Cedar Lake, Indiana.
My husband and I enjoy going to Gruene to sit outside and listen to music while enjoying a cold beverage.
I joined my sister-in-law’s book club and discovered the joy of reading via Audible.
