Meet Debbie Romero, if you haven't already!

Please help give a big, official Texas REALTORS® to Debbie Romero, who will start as a permanent full-time employee with us on Monday, April 25. Debbie has been with us for a while now, serving in a temporary capacity with our Board Services Department. There, she has helped serve our Multi-Board Management (MBM) Program and the members of the 13 MBM boards that Texas REALTORS® manages, a role she will continue now as a permanent member of our team.

Here are some fun facts about Debbie:

• Grew up mostly in a suburb south of Atlanta.

• Worked as a tennis instructor through college.

• Went to the University of Georgia. Go Dawgs!

• Moved to Austin eight years ago without visiting first and knew only one person. One month later that person moved back home but by then she already fell in love with the city, and knew she was here to stay.

• Was a temp for Texas REALTORS® before COVID for about a month or so at the front desk with Afiya. She remembers liking how friendly everyone was and is happy to join now as a part of the permanent team!

• Has a 7 year old goldendoodle who loves to swim and go on hikes at the greenbelt.

• Enjoys food photography and occasionally works with restaurants on the weekends taking photos of their menus.

• Lover of plants. Has a houseplant collection of over 50+ plants.

• Part of a proud Peruvian family, all who are very big foodies.

• Last year she traveled to Mexico City and ate crickets, says they were really good!
