Most of y'all know by now prior to moving back to Texas I had over a decade-long career in the wine industry as a winemaker and certified Level II Sommelier. Here you will discover interesting suggestions at various price points, and new pairing ideas for the beverages we enjoy sharing with others. Surprisingly, wine, politics, and real estate go hand-in-hand. From some well-known politicians who own wineries such as Kathryn Hall, to the avid wine collector Thomas Jefferson, to the lead singer of Tool, Maynard James Keenan, and many more. Wine is an omnipresent force in our country's history and in real estate wine, Champagne, beer, and other beverages make excellent celebratory closing and housewarming gifts. At $40 for this year's summer BBQs and to kick off the 4th of July my glass will have the 2018 Patz & Hall Sonoma Coast Pinot Noir. A crowd-pleasing wine that is the perfect pairing with hot dogs, steak and chimichurri, grilled chicken with vegetables, and marinated pork. If the thought of red wine on a hot summer day doesn't sound appealing, you can always choose the classic true American ice-cold Budweiser.

For those of you who would prefer a refreshing drink without alcohol, mix together cranberry juice, sparkling water, and pink lemonade for a sparkling cranberry punch. You can also add to your glass blueberries and strawberries to make it more festive for the 4th of July holiday! Cheers!
