Big welcome to the newest member of the Texas REALTORS® family, Triston Crossland, who joined us as South Texas Field Representative on June 12. Triston lives in San Antonio and covers the entire southern area of Texas, from San Antonio to the Gulf Coast and the Valley.
What do Field Representatives do? Here's a fun way to learn a little about the program. Otherwise, the Field Representatives, consisting of a team of six individuals strategically placed across the state, play a vital role in facilitating the engagement of over 150,000 members of Texas REALTORS® in grassroots advocacy initiatives. Serving as exceptional ambassadors, they cultivate strong connections with local associations and members statewide. Whether you require information or wish to communicate with a local board, reaching out to the respective Field Representative in that area is highly recommended. They serve as an invaluable resource, ready to assist you with your needs.
Here are some fun facts Triston shared about himself:
Born in Carson City, Michigan (moved to Texas two weeks later!).
Attended UTSA as a scholarship student-athlete (undergraduate) and TAMU-CC (graduate).
Served two Members of Congress in Washington, DC.
Nearly attended a Presidential Inauguration but walked back home after seeing how long the line was.
Oldest of six children, and legal guardian of two younger siblings.
Chronic over-thinker (or as I like to describe it, “a philosopher lacking credibility”).
A walking Will Ferrell movie quote generator.
Can recite President Kennedy’s “Moon Speech” word for word.
Sports/History Fanatic.
Favorite Literary Work: Washington’s Farewell Address.
Favorite Quote: “The consciousness of good intentions disdains ambiguity.” -Hamilton, Federalist No. 1.
